Governor's New Budget Proposal Restores Longevity Pay Effective July 1, 2010,

and Eliminates the Proposed Three Additional Shutdown Days, Making Moot the Need for a Payroll Push

On Wednesday, March 3, the Governor presented his changes to the proposed state budget. These changes will restore longevity pay effective July 1, 2010, and eliminate an earlier proposal for three additional shutdown days. As such, the proposed payroll push would not take place.

 

We are still exploring ways to recover the first year of longevity.

 

Please contact your state legislators and urge them to support the Governor's new budget proposal.
