Action Alert! Rally in Portland at 12 Noon Wednesday, June 30!

Urge Senators Snowe and Collins to Deliver on the $86 Million

Promised for Critical Medical Services for Maine People!

Join us Wednesday, June 30, at 12 Noon, for a rally outside the Portland Canal Plaza offices of Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. Urge them to deliver on the $86 million promised for critical medical services for Maine people. Urge them to extend unemployment benefits to the over 30,000 Maine people who lost their jobs in this difficult economy. Urge them to make COBRA health insurance affordable for Maine people who lost their employer coverage.

For Wednesday's rally, we'll gather at 11:45 AM in the mini-park in front of the Nickelodeon Cinema on Temple Street. We'll then make the short walk to their Canal Plaza offices.

Unless Senators Snowe and Collins do the right thing this week, over 3,441 Mainers will lose their jobs, the State of Maine will be denied $86 million in funding for critical health services to Mainers, and scores of Maine families will lose their healthcare. Urge Senators Snowe and Collins to support the federal MaineCare extensions known as FMAP, extend unemployment benefits and make COBRA insurance affordable for Maine people.
